5. What does the initial assessment stage involve?

We meet all the trainees taking our programmes for a 15-minute speaking assessment. This can either be arranged online or as an onsite "Assessment Day" (we recommend the latter if this is possible).

The assessment is a short, informal conversation designed to get an estimate of each trainee's CEFR level. For more advanced trainees, we will also ask them to take an online writing test to compare their writing level to their speaking level.

Following the assessment stage, we will send you a proposal with a suggestion for how to organise the groups.
